Why is my transfer to a crypto casino less than what I sent? Network fees measured at $1.78-$1.81 on TRON, exchange withdrawal fees, and operator deposit fees - and how to tell which one applied.

Direct answer

The amount credited at the casino is the amount that arrived on chain, not the amount you typed into your wallet. Between those two numbers sit the network fee, often a withdrawal fee charged by the platform you sent from, and sometimes an operator-side deposit fee or currency conversion.

Four distinct amounts are involved, and keeping them apart is what solves the question: the amount debited by your wallet or exchange, the network fee recorded on the transaction, the amount received on-chain at the destination address, and the amount finally credited by the operator. A shortfall can be created at any of those steps.

On our own fee measurements. Our measured TRON figures ($1.78-$1.81) and Bitcoin figure ($11.40) come from casino-to-wallet withdrawal tests, not wallet-to-casino deposits. They are included only as context for the order of magnitude of a network fee and should not be used as an estimate of the fee for a deposit. Deposit costs can differ by sending platform, wallet, network resources and fee policy. We have not measured a representative deposit-fee range, and we have not measured Ethereum fees at all. Fees and operator policies also change over time — check the current deposit screen before sending.

Where the missing amount usually went

1. The network fee was deducted from the transfer. Many wallets and exchanges subtract the fee from the amount sent rather than charging it separately. You authorise 100 USDT, the fee comes out of it, and the casino credits what landed.

2. The sending platform charged its own withdrawal fee. Exchanges commonly apply a flat fee per withdrawal that is larger than the underlying network cost. This is the most frequent explanation for a shortfall of several dollars or more on a stablecoin transfer.

3. The operator applied a deposit fee or a conversion. If the casino credits a different unit than the one you sent, a conversion rate and possibly a spread is applied at credit time. Operator deposit fees are policy, not a chain cost, and belong in the cashier terms.

4. You sent on a different network than the deposit address expected. This is the dangerous case. A USDT balance exists separately on TRON, Ethereum and other chains. Sending to an address for the wrong chain does not usually produce a smaller credit — it typically produces no credit at all, and recovery depends entirely on whether the operator controls the receiving address on that chain.

How to check which one it was

Open the transaction on the block explorer for the network you used and compare three numbers: the amount that left your wallet, the fee recorded on the transaction, and the amount received at the destination address. The explorer settles the question of what the chain did.

If the received amount matches what the casino credited, the difference was created before the transfer — by your wallet or the sending platform, and their fee schedule is where to look. If the received amount is higher than what was credited, the difference was applied by the operator after arrival, and that is a cashier-terms question to raise with its support.

Can I get the difference back?

A network fee is paid to the blockchain and cannot be refunded by anyone. A fee charged by the platform you sent from is governed by that platform's terms. If the operator credited less than the block explorer shows arriving at its address, that gap is the operator's to account for, and the explorer record is the evidence to cite when you ask its support. Keep the transaction hash and timestamps, and never share private keys or recovery phrases.
